Christmas in Shoreditch: Some of our Favourite Venues

It’s that time of the year again people. Time to get the mulled wine and the festive jumpers out whilst the cold sets in. And if there’s one city that knows how to turn itself into a fairytale    Christmas party, it’s London. Whilst the first stop is Oxford Street for a bit of present shopping, followed by the sugar fix brought by South Bank’s winter market, the final destination should be Shoreditch, one of London’s quirkiest areas. If you’re going East and experiencing Christmas in Shoreditch this December, you’ll need to know which are the key venues, so grab your egg nog and take you on a tour of E1.

Shoreditch Town House

First stop is Shoreditch Town House, one of East London’s hidden gems after having been standing on the site since 1911. The house awakens a sense of wonderment at any time of year, particularly the festive period – giving a nod to the past whilst still being firmly in the present. Tucked away under a quiet street and through a discreet doorway you enter an Edwardian world that is far better experienced than described – set over four floors the house can be used altogether or with a single room to hire, allowing for a capacity of 160.

Nobu Hotel

Nobu Hotel is next up, a new and exclusive venue located on Willow Street, just along from Old Street. The hotel offers a captivating and unique escape with the perfect balance of fun, luxury, craft and theatre. Holding up to 240 in the dining restaurant, the neo-Japanese style

décor provides something different this Christmas, whilst still allowing for the intimate, cosy vibes we all associate with the festive period. The hotel offers a versatile range of exceptional spaces, all channeling the raw creative energy of East London and the understated luxury of Nobu.

Ace Hotel

Ace Hotel bears many similarities to Nobu; it’s modern, luxurious and has a cosy vibe during the festive period. If it’s a panoramic view of Shoreditch, the Gherkin and the City of London that was missing for you, then Ace Hotel will be able to tick all of your boxes. Their ‘100 Room’ is a 600 square foot space that is perfect for business meetings.

Queen of Hoxton

Hoxton is an arty area adjacent to the equally hip neighbourhood of Shoreditch, with a continuation of the same young creatives, trendsetters, fashionable clubs and eclectic dining scenes. The Queen of Hoxton is one of the staples of the Shoreditch/Hoxton area, offering a pub, club and everything in between. This Christmas, there’s an enormous wigwam set up to keep you and your guests toasty as they enjoy the Shoreditch skyline amongst mural art, ivy trimmings and industrial accents.
